I suck as a journalist. No event pictures AGAIN. Had way too much fun (but not as much fun as Her Majesty the Slip-n-Slider).
However, here's some Sewing and Shopping evidence!
The trim is 4 yards of lovely soft rustic stuff, bought from Andrixus the trim merchant, which will be my 12thc ceinture…remember, I like to have a green belt appropriate to whatever placetime I'm dressed in!
The token is for my champion to carry, since I have one now, and ought to conduct myself accordingly. I like my black bee, though am pondering whether next time I embroider her she should have a filled-in fuzzy thorax. I've got quite a bit of embroidery in mind on future clothing – should learn more about what stitches are who and where.
The moss green linen is the same as the undergown I'm finishing up – in last posts' list. Embroidery thread is just DMC, as I was practically gifted with a near lifetime's supply.
I also bought trim to finish Orlando's tunic, and tried it on him, so that may well happen tomorrow. When it's done I promise to photograph and post.
To answer Jerusha: Er, sleep? I got home from Gatalop about 2 pm, unloaded the car and started the laundry while on the phone (weekly mom call), ate a real meal with all the component parts I like to have, and was asleep by 4 pm. Woke up at 10, gave up trying to sleep more at 11, and sewed until 3 am. Went back to bed (this means tossing sewing on floor and turning out light, as I handsew propped up in bed usually). Finished the token, and got within a couple hours of finishing Orlando's tunic, I think.
