UPDATE: We were in a local newspaper! The very readable (only comes out weekly, so they must have time to weed out all the dumb stuff that the daily runs) Bay Beacon featured the following: (click to enlarge)
Yes, that’s me with my mouth open. Standard expression for a magpie, don’t you know?
****end update***
One of our little cities’ Heritage Museum has a craft fair fundraiser every year in the adjacent park. The local shire was told that we could appear for free, and we might sell our own fundraiser crafts. So here we are on April 28, 2007.
Russ and Juliana, with daughter Leil – who is Very Interested in spinning…

Gefroi helping Thomas with garb, and Roland is in the background.

Melbrigda doing calligraphy, and Lavena showing off all her glass beads.

And yours truly. Notice a couple new accessories for Maude????? I’ll remove all the visual clutter:

Isn’t she gorgeous! There’s a new pot for the hole in the deck, thanks to Honnora…
I tried to take a closeup of the distaff, but it’s early morning, and I don’t have enough light to compensate for my hand wobbles. Spoon assures me that this is a stand-in distaff, until he can turn a matching one for the wheel, but I think it’s grand. He made it in about three minutes from an azalea branch, bending the azalea twigs back on themselves and tying them. It’s great, and I’ve fooled around with drawing the flax off. Must do more intensive fooling around – sometime after I make more progress on some of those projects on the right.
